If someone is not competent in child topics, that’s me. (And i am standing by the next lines, even though i know that i will get burnt on a virtual stake, muhahahaha hashtag demonic laughter.)
So there is a woman, who doesn’t have a child and – if this woman can be honest with you (and why couldn’t I be) – during her life, after receiving an invitation she usually asked: „will there be children”?
And no, not because i don’t like them, because i really do, but in certain ways: from a nice distance and occasionally. (demonic laughter repeated)
Now you can imagine, which question slipped out of my mouth, when i learnt from my new and highly esteemed colleague (who was recommended by me, and yet she stabbed me in the back so quickly) that as a conscious and practicing mom she wants to realize one of her old dreams, in the form of a special daytime children’s programme: „Do I also have to be there?” „Yes, Szentesi, you too, you are responsible for the communication!” Oh, really – i realised – this is why they hired me. I ran through my contract very quickly, and in the small print i found the legal passage which states, that I also have to be present at the events that i don’t like. (Who would have thought that something like this can happen at a job.) „I didn’t ask enough money for this position” – flashed through my head immediately, just like the idea of calling in sick, but I like challenges way more than these solutions. Because what can be a bigger challenge for someone like me, than trying to have a good time somewhere where one of the kids is screaming, the other is playing tag while yelling, and the third one is chanting mooooom. Because you can confess my dear friends, it’s also hard for you, even though you gave birth to the screaming little one.
But the MOM Juice was made for those condemnable women who were not shaped in a mould, who fall short from expectations, just like I do. For the ones who love their children, but are not afraid to say that they always sometimes drive them crazy. For the ones who are great moms even though they don’t care about the standards of our society, who are disgusted by the heavy expectations that concerns mothers and women. For those who hate the word playground, and for the ones who don’t prefer giving phones to their children, because that’s the only way to entertain them.
We organized Mom Juice for these moms, but also for the whole family and even for the childless friends, because I loved seeing all the sweet little faces (oh god, i really wrote this sentence down), as they stared at the magician or how they were chasing the giant bubbles at the square in an euphoric state. You can really find everything on this event. With help from the expert educators of Kid Spirit, there is always a different theme for the Mom Juice, the first one was environmental protection, and on the next one developing emotional intelligence will be in the highlight, they create and have discussions on this topic. Meanwhile we give the moms a glass of champagne, and you shouldn’t forget about our breakfast selection either.
