Being a tourist in your own city - and a little extra at the end!

David White Castle

Although the natives of Budapest call almost everything within the Great Boulevard "downtown", today we propose a short afternoon or weekend walking tour of the 5th district, home of our restaurant, with some wonderful sights. This popular district is always full of tourists, grand buildings and pedestrian streets, but in this colourful cavalcade there are also little nooks, alleys and tiny galleries that make this area endlessly exciting. The icing on the cake is, of course, lunch or dinner at KIOSK, so let's see what you can see first.

Károlyi Garden

The Károlyi Garden is the oldest garden in Budapest, with the greatest history. In the early days it was privately owned by the eponymous Károlyi family, and today it is a unique French-style garden open to all.
At first glance, it is very inviting: the well-tended arsenal of plants and the romantic paths that run along it are enough to make you feel that you have arrived at an oasis of the city centre, where you can enjoy a great time.

Ferenciek tere

At the foot of the Elisabeth Bridge in Pest, we have a square that is home to many architectural masterpieces, Ferenciek tere. Among the most impressive buildings in Budapest are the Klotild and Matild Palaces, the Parisian Courtyard of unrivalled beauty, but also the Franciscan Church, the Nereids' Fountain and the University Library.

Váci utca and Vörösmarty tér

Váci utca, the famous pedestrian and shopping street starting from the Central Market Hall, offers almost two kilometres of shopping and entertainment. The end point is the famous Vörösmarty Square, where you can find many exciting buildings of different architectural styles, representing different eras.

Vigadó and Danube Embankment

The section between the Chain Bridge and the Elisabeth Bridge, with its magnificent panorama of Buda, is also known as the Danube Embankment. Immerse yourself in the panorama of the Buda Castle, the Citadel, the Gellért Hill and the dazzling bridges. The jewel of the promenade is the Pesti Vigadó, designed by Frigyes Feszl, which has been entertaining the culture-hungry public since 1865.

After a stroll through the city centre, don't forget to refuel your calories: KIOSK offers a wonderful panorama and a fantastic menu for hungry tourists!
