How nice it feels to relax on the banks of the Danube, in the beautiful 15 March Square, after a long day. Or during. Whatever the time of day, our location, with its exceptional facilities, always promises guaranteed relaxation. Taking advantage of the gigantic ceilings and industrial influence of the former gymnasium of the Piarist school, built in 1717, a team of top Hungarian interior architects and designers have shaped our restaurant into a contemporary atmosphere, making it both stately and relaxed, appealing to all ages. In short, it's a pleasure to spend time here, with a magical atmosphere that is sure to impress.

No such terrace yet


Speaking of location, you can certainly get the best of it from our terrace. On our cool, cosy terrace, which covers almost the entire space, every meal or drink becomes an experience in the middle of the panorama of Gellért Hill, Elisabeth Bridge, the Danube and Buda Castle, where we welcome all spirits in a pleasant atmosphere from early spring to late autumn.

Varied dishes, rich choice

Eating well is, of course, part of a good restaurant atmosphere, no question about it. And KIOSK's menu is a guarantee of quality. Our cuisine is based on a love of food and a desire to discover the world, which we try to pass on to you in every bite. We are unrelentingly moving forward every single day, following our credo of freshness, sustainability, home-made and local, home-grown ingredients, and organic ingredients.
If you like, you can find Sunday favourites that you've tasted so many times at Grandma's, cosmopolitan delights, or even a trip to Asia in a minute or to the realm of vegetarian flavours. The choice is yours, we are your partners in everything!

An exciting drinks menu


Bartenders' coolness certainly shows on our drinks list and makes for a good restaurant atmosphere. Dolce vita with Aperol, the flavours of summer in a glass of Hugo or cotton candy with champagne bubbles. It's a tough choice, but don't worry: you can't go wrong here at KIOSK!

If you were to define a restaurant with a good atmosphere, one of the things that everyone would definitely mention would be the friendly and helpful staff. We are proud of everyone who works for us and are happy to say that we are a team working together in good spirits.

KIOSK was conceived by Hubert Hlatky-Schlichter


The "midwife" of the restaurant, the innovator of Budapest's gastronomic life, Hubert Hlatky-Schlichter started his restaurant revolution in the Hungarian capital more than ten years ago, and KIOKSK, his love child, was an instant triumph. The until then abandoned Március 15. square was suddenly filled with a sincere, vibrant, cosmopolitan sense of life, as Hubert himself had conveyed, which was later complemented by the funky open-air venue in the neighbouring Piazza. If anything - in this case, anyone - guarantees a good atmosphere, it's Hubert himself! 

With the introduction of our delivery service, we bring the authentic KIOSK experience to homes in Budapest, promising satisfyingly humming feasts. We diversify our delivery menu with burgers, our weekly lunch menu, home-style and classic flavours, varied and substantial salads, seasonal offerings.

Attracting icons

The comforts of home, which have been tried and tested many times, can also contribute to a great atmosphere, to feeling really good somewhere. One of our flagship dishes is perhaps KIOSK's most famous rabble-rouser, the poppy seed bean, which has been on our menu since the beginning. The secret to its success is a combination of quality ingredients and a variety of cooking techniques, as well as our own homemade brioche dough and softly melting poppy seed ice cream. Warning, addictive!
